It was a bright day and Sonic was running along the shore clutching something. He opened his hands and stared at the blue and pink roses he had in his hand. They glimmered in the sun and he smiled. He wanted to tell Amy something but he was too afraid. It would seem strange, admitting something he pretended he didn't have - Feelings for Amy. For a week, he had trouble speaking to her. Amy thought he hated her more, everyday she got more depressed, which was another thing that worried Sonic.
"Perhaps she lost hope though? Perhaps she dislikes me..." Those two things wandered in his mind over and over again. He then pulled up his courage and found himself running towards Amy's house. He came to a halt as he was just a few steps away. He felt sweat starting to form. He slowly (OMG SLOWLY?) walked towards Amy's doorstep. After 5 minutes of slow walking, he found himself on the doorstep. He slowly knocked on the door
"Damn Sonic, pull your self together. You're slow!" He thought to himself.
Amy opened the door holding what looked like a bowl and spoon,
"Sonic? What are you doing here?" She asked, her eyes glowing with the slight hint of happiness.
"Umm... I'll explain, can I come in?" He said sweating more.
"Have you been for a really long run or something? You never sweat usually..." She asked as she let him in.
He sat down,
"Well..."
"Well what?" She continued mixing the bowl with the spoon firmly. Sonic stared at the spoon, spinning round and round, just like his head.
"Well... umm..."
"Spit it out! Not in the cake mix though!"
Sonic chuckled and took a deep breath.
"I was blind to see how many feelings I had for you..."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I never realised. You're just, amazing and I never realised at all till the start of the week. Laying in bed, and my mind turned to you after waiting to fall asleep. You went over and over like a everlasting video. I can't stop thinking about you... Amy Rose, I want you, to kiss you, feel you, love you..."
Amy sat there amazed. Sonic using such words made her so happy.
"You mean this? T-This isn't a d-d-dream?" She staggered.
"Of course I mean it."
"No dream? No joke?"
"Not at all."
He slowly touched her hand smiling. She blushed lightly and smiled back. She went into the kitchen to finish the cake. He followed smiling, he didn't feel confused anymore. His mind wasn't spinning at all. She was mixing the cake mix more. When he went behind he and took hold of her hand helping her mix it. He didn't have mixed feelings anymore. He had loving feelings, each one making him feel happy. Amy was the one thing he longed for. He realised he loved her more than running. He wrapped his arms around her hugging her. She turned round smiling and then hugged him. Sonic pulled her apart then kissed her. Amy blushed madly. Sonic deepened the kiss.
It was the best day of their lives.
